The information contained on this website is provided 'as-is', without any warranty of any kind and only for informational purposes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jolin.tech or its associates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of the information or products provided on this website.

Most of the projects explained here work with non-lethal voltages (for the average human), but thorough knowledge of applicable safety regulations and procedures is assumed for the use of any of them. In the same way, the necessary knowledge and possession of the necessary tools is assumed on the part of the buyer in order to make any product functional. Any doubt about this should be asked before purchasing (e.g. by email), as returns or exchanges will not be accepted otherwise.

Our Right to Modify These Terms of Service

We reserve the right to change these Terms of Service at any time. You should check this page regularly. The changes will appear on Jolin.tech and will be effective when we post the changes. Your continued use of Jolin.tech means you agree to and accept the changes.

Shipping

Currently we ship all orders within five working days through DHL express. Shipping times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Delays caused by production, quality control, component availability, carriers or customs procedures are outside our control.

We ship worldwide, so our shipping rates are carefully calculated depending on the weight and size of your order, and vary depending on where you live. All of our packages are shipped from Italy.

We offer tracking to all of our shipments.

Our shipping estimates do not include the time used for customs procedures in the country of destination. That means that sometimes it may take longer (or shorter) depending on where you live. Some orders may experience customs delays if your country is not part of the EU because your order may be subject to import duties, customs tariffs or VAT charges.

For orders shipped to countries outside the European Union we are not responsible for the cost of any specific taxes payable in the destination country. These are in addition to, and not included in, the cost of shipping and are incurred at the time of delivery. Customers are responsible for all international customs and duty fees.

The amount of these taxes or duties will vary depending on the import/export laws of each country, and it is your responsibility to be informed of them and of all formalities required to deliver the order. You should inquire with your local customs agency for more information and assistance in this area.

If a shipment is refused, abandoned, or returned because import duties, taxes, customs fees, or other import charges were not paid by the customer, Jolin.tech reserves the right to deduct all shipping costs, return shipping costs, customs charges, and any non-refundable payment processing fees from the refund, where permitted by applicable law.

For our international customers' protection we may need to verify additional details regarding billing and shipping information, and may need to place conditions on the method of payment used. Orders may be rejected if we cannot verify information to our satisfaction. If we require additional information, we will be in contact with you at the email address you provide.

Jolin.tech shall not be liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including shortages of components, transport disruptions, customs inspections, strikes, natural disasters or other force majeure events.

Warranty

All our products are covered by the standard 2-year EU warranty on purchased goods which begins when you receive your goods.

This warranty covers the failure or malfunction of the device within this period which is due to our manufacturing processes or the components used. The warranty covers return shipping to the customer (worldwide) but not the shipping to have the device returned to Jolin.tech. Opening the product for normal servicing does not void the warranty. However, unauthorized modifications or repairs do.

The warranty is void if the device has failed due to the customer's negligence, including (but not limited to) connecting the device to an inappropriate power supply, damage due to mishandling, damage due to extreme conditions (including but not limited to temperature, humidity/moisture or dust).

Returns

Jolin.tech offers you the possibility to change and/or return items purchased online. Upon receipt of your order, you have 14 days to change and/or return any products.

The products and their packaging must be in their original condition, complete with all accessories and original packaging.

If you have not contacted us before returning the goods and have not waited to receive the authorization number for the return (info@jolin.tech), Jolin.tech reserves the right to reject the return.

Jolin.tech reserves the right to refuse returns which have been communicated or sent after the deadline, or products that are not in the same condition in which they were received.

Refunds

Once the return is approved (the items have to be in their original condition, complete with all accessories and original packaging) you will receive a confirmation email telling you that the amount will be credited to your account (which you must provide to us via email) in the coming days. Remember that the payment to the credit card always depends on your bank.

Non-refundable payment processing fees charged by Stripe, PayPal or other payment providers may be deducted from any refund where permitted by applicable law. More details can be found at stripe.com or paypal.com respectively.

If it is a return, the cost of shipping back will be charged to the customer.

Replacements

If the product supplied is incorrect or defective, it will be replaced by another item of the same model or the same item repaired. The delivery time depends on the availability of the new product or its repair. You will be informed immediately of the status of the claim and you can decide whether to ask for a refund or to wait for the new product.

If you have received an incorrect or defective item, Jolin.tech will bear the shipping costs of the defective product.

Order Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled before they have been dispatched. Once an order has entered the fulfillment process, we cannot guarantee that cancellation requests can be accommodated.

If an order is cancelled at the customer's request after payment has been processed, any non-refundable payment processing fees incurred by Jolin.tech may be deducted from the refund, where permitted by applicable law.

Kits

The necessary knowledge and possession of the necessary tools is assumed on the part of the buyer in order to build and make any kit or parts functional. Any doubt about this should be asked before purchasing (e.g. by email), otherwise returns will not be accepted.

All kits are made by hand. Although we do our best, they might contain errors or missing parts. Jolin.tech will send any missing part free of charge if necessary.

Assembly errors are not covered by warranty. Damaged PCBs due to soldering mistakes are not replaced free of charge. Modified kits are excluded from warranty.

Shop Policy

Jolin.tech reserves the right to change the price of the items without notice.

The finished products can be returned until 14 days after the date of delivery.

Firmware

Firmware updates may modify or improve the functionality of the product without prior notice. Jolin.tech shall not be liable for any issues arising from the use of updated firmware versions.

Licensing

All material published on this website is under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike license, which allows copying, adapting or distributing the material by any media or format as long as you mention the source, there is no commercial use of it, and the result of this copy or adaptation is licensed in the same way.

If you are planning to use any design for a derivative with a potentially commercial use, please contact us in advance.

Privacy and Cookies

If you visit our home page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

We will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select "Alright", your consent will persist until deleted.

If you log in on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email, address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you want to buy another item.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
